The Church of the Resurrection of Christ, better known as “Saviour on the Blood”, is a wonderful example of Russian architecture nearing the end of the 19th century. The outside bears a resemblance to St. Basil’s in Red Square, yet the inside is drastically different. All of the walls, columns and ceilings are covered in mosaics. The detail is simply amazing...unfortunately (when I visited) photos of the inside were not permitted : (
