After making its nest, the male African Masked Weaver perches in a branch nearby and sings a song while flapping his wings in a performance that will hopefully capture the attention of a female African Masked Weaver.
Another good capture in the series. Nice work pal. :)

Nice color mix and tone here lidya, only the leaves almost 'drown' the bird, my eyes went directly to the leaves instead of the bird that should be the POI here.

@ajoeh: Thanks for your comment, I totally agree with you that the foreground leaves "drown" the bird. I was waiting for the bird to move to another branch to display, but he wasn't moving any time soon!
This is a superb bird shot!! congratulations

hey this capture is wonderful did you zoom it....How did you get that much close to the bird really wonderful
@Titto: Nice pictures of the snakes! (I remember viewing both of them). As to how I got so close to this bird and its nest, I was staying at a house in Pretoria and this bird happened to be making its nest in the backyard. He wasn't bothered by my presence at all which made it really easy to take this series of photos. In the last picture (IV) he is destroying the nest of a competitor and I actually had to move because I was sitting under it and all the grass bits kept falling on me!
Fantastic nature shot, I always find these hard to do because the birds fly away so quickly and are reluctant to stay still for very long. You've done a great job here. Well done!
