Ottawa War Memorial

This picture was taken last night, the 90th anniversary of Vimy Ridge. A light show began just before 8pm and every ten seconds the name of a Canadian soldier who died at Vimy was cast onto the statue. Approx 4,000 names were cast on the memorial throughout the night. It was very sombre. I didn’t have my Rebel XT with me nor a tripod, so this is the best shot I could get given the dark conditions.
