Loon & baby

This picture was taken from my kayak in the middle of a lake. Loons usually spend a lot of time under the water diving for food so I was happy to come across this mother loon and her baby sauntering across the lake (can birds saunter?). Just to make things a little more difficult, my camera was in the back hatch...
